In my three-decade journey as an entrepreneur, I have often witnessed moving stories of people facing “blues” and “ burnout ", to toxic work environments and imbalances in their professional commitment. I myself have personally been confronted with this insidious situation, which tends to arise when you least expect it. Moving from simple phases of “blues” to a state of “burnout » degrading, this state, although temporary, can seem overwhelming, especially when there is no end to this ordeal. Certainly, the periods of “blues» can occur for a limited time, with a deadline in sight. However, without a well-defined time limit, they risk turning into the hell of “burnout”.

The Concept of Balance

Balance is an essential key to avoiding these pitfalls. It's not just about sharing tasks fairly, but also about aligning with partners who share a similar vision and commitment. An imbalance, where one person is working at 125% while the other is only 75% engaged, creates a breeding ground for burnout and frustration. As I explain in my book, choosing your energetic entourage, even at work, is crucial to maintaining this balance.  The best learning I learned from it, and which I share with you : “We don’t have a burnout because we work too much. It's because we work with the wrong people. »

Choose your Energy Entourage at work

In “The Key to Your Destiny”, I emphasize the importance of surrounding yourself with people who not only share our professional goals but also vibrate at energetic frequencies compatible with ours. A work environment where energies are misaligned can lead to excessive stress, exhaustion and ultimately burnout. The worst trap is to say to yourself: “everything is under control”.  Under control yes, to the point of losing balance.

It is therefore essential to consciously choose colleagues and partners who strengthen and support our energy, rather than draining it quickly.

Mental Health and Balance

Burnout, often the result of prolonged imbalance, is a devastating reality in the modern professional world. It manifests itself when we push our limits without heeding the warning signals from our body and mind. Working with people who are at odds with our energy can not only affect our performance but also seriously harm our mental health.

The Importance of Energy Harmony at Work

In my book, I discuss the need to establish energetic harmony at work. This means recognizing the people whose presence drains us and taking steps to minimize their impact on our professional lives. It's about building working relationships based on mutual respect, energetic harmony and a shared commitment to common goals.  In addition, if we want to keep the flame and the passion , balance is essential.

Physical Health and Balance and Sleep

Similarly, balance in our physical health is crucial. A person who is overworked and constantly out of balance is likely to neglect their health, leading to chronic conditions such as obesity, hypertension and physical pain.

Sleep paradoxical, also known as sleep REM (Rapid Eye Movement), plays a crucial role in physical and mental health. During this stage of sleep, our brains are almost as active as when we are awake, and this is when most dreams occur. When a person experiences burnout, his sleep cycle may be seriously affected. disturbed, especially the sleep phase paradoxical.

Impact of burnout on paradoxical sleep

  • Reduced sleep duration paradoxical: The burnout, often associated with stress and anxiety. anxiety, may shorten sleep duration paradoxical. This phase is essential for brain recovery and regeneration.

  • Impaired sleep quality:  Not only the duration, but also sleep quality paradoxical is affected and results in burnout . People suffering from burnout >or blues that precede it, may have difficulty reaching this phase or may be frequently awakened, thus preventing an adequate sleep cycle.

Consequences on Body Cells

Sleep paradoxical plays an important role in the process of “cleaning” cells in our body. During sleep, especially when sleeping paradoxical, our brain and our bodies engage in repair and recovery processes.

  • Cellular Waste Disposal:  The cells in our body use sleep, especially sleep paradoxical, to get rid of accumulated metabolic waste during the day. This includes removing toxins and treating lactic acid.

  • Pain and Inflammation: When sleeping paradoxical  is insufficient, this cleaning process is disrupted. This can lead to a buildup of metabolic waste in cells, similar to what happens in muscles after intense exercise, where lactic acid builds up, causing pain and stiffness. In the context of burnout, this buildup can lead to widespread pain in the body, chronic fatigue and even inflammation.

The Importance of Regeneration

Sleep paradoxical is therefore essential for the regeneration and maintenance of good cellular health. Insufficiency of this phase of sleep can have deleterious consequences on physical well-being, thus contributing to the physical symptoms of burnouy. This highlights the importance of effective stress management and quality sleep to prevent and recover from stress.  For example, to help achieve deeper sleep, exercising at least an hour before sleep contributes to restful sleep .  Reducing stress in general through “small choices” as explained in “The Key to Your Destiny” can also help you take action and remedy stress and to performance anxiety.

In addition, “The Sky is blues” is not just a metaphor for the melancholy which constitutes the weak signals preceding “burnout”.  It represents the silent cry of ;soul facing imbalance and “burnout”. Finding balance in our work, our relationships and our personal health is essential to living a full and fulfilled life. Understanding and acting on this principle can transform our blue skies into a bright canvas of opportunity and well-being, as I detail in “The Key to Your Destiny.”

Remember, we don't make a burnout because we work too much.  We do one because we work with the wrong people!
