The earth is round: The inevitable return to balance

Not so long ago, I took a trip abroad to reconnect with my nieces, two extraordinary souls, one of whom took the noble path of justice by becoming a police officer. Our exchanges, far from being simple family conversations, transformed into deep reflections, often accompanied by the murmur of the waves, where the land meets the sea in an eternal ballet, evoking the infinite roundness of our world.

Facing the ocean, with the surf as the background sound of our dialogues, my niece spoke of the shadows of her profession: the darkness she faces every day, the exhausting quest for justice and the disillusionment caused by those who escape retribution. She told us the story of a malicious individual who had thwarted all attempts at capture, an unsolved enigma that haunted the system.

In the silence that followed, punctuated only by the song of the sea, she declared, with almost ethereal tranquility: “The earth is round. » It was not a declaration of revenge, but of recognition of a universal truth, the awareness that every echo of our actions, good or bad, travels through the ether, making a circular journey before returning to its proper place. sender.

“The earth is round” has emerged as a reflection on fairness and balance. In front of the immensity of the water, my niece's words revealed an inescapable truth: as the waves always find their way back to the beach, the actions of life, too, sail through time and space until they return to their origin. If an injustice can disappear into thin air today, it may very well find itself confronted with itself tomorrow. Nothing is isolated, nothing is lost, everything is part of an infinite cycle.

We discussed existence and its inevitable cycle, how malicious actions, even if they seem unpunished, create disharmony seeking to be corrected. Malice is a debt to the universe, and this debt requires compensation, either through transformation, punishment, or redemption. This view is not merely a consolation to those thirsting for righteousness, but also a solemn warning to those who are embarking on the path of iniquity.

The coming and going of the waves, associated with the mantra “The earth is round”, consolidated my understanding of the cycle of life, an assurance that the universe, in its infinite wisdom, is moving towards balance. Our actions are stones thrown into the ocean of existence, creating ripples that travel far and wide, influencing destinies, before finally returning to their starting point. It is in this certainty that we find the perseverance to continue our quest for justice and goodness, knowing that nothing escapes the eternal observation of the universe, because, in its infinite love for balance, the earth is, without a doubt, round.
